Joined the firm: 1990
Qualified: 1992 – MRICS
Partner since: 1993

Prosper joined M-JS after graduating in September 1990 and worked alongside his father, Simon, on enfranchisement matters, for several years.  The founding partners have both retired from the partnership, and Prosper now runs the firm with Tim Martin.

Prosper jointly heads the residential valuation department with Tim, and carries out professional valuation work for taxation, rent review, matrimonial and dispute purposes.  The majority of his work is within the leasehold enfranchisement field on both houses and flats, and he generally handles most of the collective enfranchisement cases within the firm from converted period houses up to large purpose built blocks of flats with outlying land, garages and appurtenant property.  Prosper frequently advises clients on the Bedford, Cadogan, Church Commissioners, Crown, Day, Grosvenor, Howard de Walden, Ilchester, Phillimore, Portman, and Wellcome estates, as well as tenants of other large property companies such as the Freshwater Group and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.  He has acted as an expert witness many times in front of tribunals.
